Position Overview:The Registered Nurse (RN) plays a crucial role in delivering exceptional nursing care to patients under a defined Physician Plan of Treatment, adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, and following the policies and procedures of our organization. This role is pivotal in ensuring the health and well-being of clients.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients.
- Conduct ongoing assessments of patient and family needs.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and nursing supervisors regarding patient changes.
- Implement preventive and therapeutic nursing interventions.
- Educate patients and families on safety measures, medication management, and rehabilitation procedures.
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by the attending physician.
- Maintain professional development through continuing education.
- Document nursing activities accurately and in a timely manner, adhering to agency standards.
- Collaborate with facility staff and administration to ensure optimal patient care.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Valid nursing license as per the State Board of Nursing.
- Minimum of one year of experience in an acute care environment.
- Current CPR certification.
- Strong observational skills and effective communication abilities.
- Good physical and mental health.
The RN is expected to demonstrate competency in:
- Providing nursing care within the guidelines of the Nurse Practice Act.
- Developing and implementing realistic care plans.
- Assessing and responding to changes in a patient’s condition.
- Maintaining accurate documentation and records.
