Caregiver Assistant

**About the Role:**
We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Caregiver Assistant to join our team at Brio Living Services. In this part-time position, you will provide essential daily living care to older adults while administering medications in an accurate and timely manner.
**Responsibilities:**
- Administer all medications as ordered and directed by the physician.
- Attend to personal care needs including bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Perform laundry, change bed linens, and tidy resident rooms.
- Provide dental and mouth care.
- Transfer residents safely, utilizing mechanical equipment as required.
- Provide meal service in accordance with required diet.
**Communication & Social Activities:
- Build positive rapport with residents.
- Interact professionally with residents, family members, team members, and visitors.
- Supervise residents during activities.
- Facilitate small group activities.
- Engage residents in meaningful interactions.
**Transport & Mobility:
- Prepare and transport residents to appointments and activities.
- Assist with lifting, turning, and positioning residents.
**Monitoring and Reporting:
- Report any medication errors immediately.
- Follow resident service plans diligently.
- Communicate any necessary changes to care routines.
- Notify supervisor of any changes in resident condition.
- Measure and record vital signs accurately in electronic records.

**Requirements:
- Six (6) months of experience in a direct caregiver role and/or passing medications or equivalent education/background.
- Experience of passing medications in an assisted living, skilled nursing, or long-term setting is preferred.
- Completion of Medication Technician Certification preferred.
- Must be able to safely lift, push, pull, and carry up to a minimum of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language.
