Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Operations Manager to join our team at Peak Utility Services Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing strategic and tactical leadership, direction, implementation, and maintenance of controls for our service offerings.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and execute day-to-day operations of departments under supervision, optimizing and actively managing work hours of employees and assets.
  • Ensure safety, quality, training, and standards are met for both the company and clients, monitoring and reporting damages and claims.
  • Develop and implement improvements for profitability of each work unit, working closely with the General Manager to develop and track annual operating budgets.
  • Complete all necessary paperwork required by the company and clients, integrating the organization's business plan, goals, and action items into day-to-day decisions and communications.
  • Lead effective and efficient meetings and presentations with internal personnel, customers, and clients, developing leadership among employees and selecting and maintaining a diverse and well-trained workforce.
  • Administer compliance of fleet policies and procedures, providing leadership to optimize vehicle utilization and minimize life cycle costs.
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, regulations, codes, and ordinances, including OQ, CDOT, EPA, OSHA, PUC, and similar.
  • Participate in industry and professional forums to stay abreast of industry direction and new technologies.
  • Administer compliance of procedures and reporting for the effective management of material inventory, driving the accurate collection and entry of data in tracking systems.
  • Proactively plan and communicate material requirements to ensure timely receipt of materials to support construction schedules.
  • Manage contracts and service agreements to protect subsidiaries' interests, initiating cost estimates and proposals for new and existing work.
  • Deliver continuous improvement in productivity, safety, quality, and cost, proactively managing material exceptions and providing feedback to the General Manager.
  • Mentor, coach, and discipline department employees for the improvement of performance and preparation for additional responsibilities.
Requirements
  • Three (3+) or more years of management experience is required.
  • Ten (10+) or more years of construction experience is required.
  • Material procurement and material management experience is required.
  • Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver's License is required within two weeks of employment.
  • Candidates must pass criminal and Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) background checks and pass a pre-employment drug screen.
