Job Summary
The Electronics Maintenance Specialist reports to the Engineering Services Leader and performs maintenance activities for plant electrical, instrument, HVAC, communications, weighing systems, and process control systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical and electronic components throughout the facility, including auxiliary equipment.
- Maintain, upgrade, and improve PLCs and their programming.
- Participate in improvement initiatives involving the digital transformation of the company.
- Work effectively with management, staff, vendors, customers, and work independently, and/or as part of a team.
Requirements
- Strong problem-solving, technical, and analytical skills.
- Proven ability to function in a self-directed environment as well as work in teams.
- Innovative thinker who is positive, proactive, and readily embraces change.
- Ability to communicate professionally during all interfaces.
- Written and verbal communication skills.
Technical Requirements
- 2-year electrical, electronics, or electro-mechanical degree from an accredited school or a demonstrated equivalent.
- Ability to read and understand P&ID and electrical drawings.
- Ability to size conductors as well as install rigid or flexible conduit associated with field instrumentation installations.
- Basic understanding of Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and PLC's and the I/O's that interface with the field instrumentation.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs and be capable of using industrial motorized equipment including lift trucks, boom lifts, etc.
- Have a basic knowledge of industrial processes to include drive systems, pneumatic systems, and hydraulic systems.
- Ability to operate Powered Industrial Equipment (lift truck, walk behind lift, pallet jack).
Preferred Experience
- Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in an industrial environment.
- PLC programming including graphic interfaces.
