Inspectors are tasked with performing regular assessments, testing, servicing, and preventive maintenance on electrical, sprinkler, or suppression life safety product lines, as well as comparable products from other manufacturers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with low voltage wiring and associated devices for the operation of low voltage equipment.
  • Complete Service Acknowledgements with accurate coding through communication devices such as laptops and/or hard copies.
  • Adhere to and maintain a structured inspection schedule.
  • Input, retrieve, and archive inspection documents using a laptop.
  • Execute minor repairs and programming adjustments to systems under inspection.
  • Provide technical guidance to junior inspectors and trainees.
  • Ensure timely completion of assigned inspections.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications

  • Fire alarm license or the ability to obtain one.
  • Experience with hand tools and multi-meter operation.
  • Demonstrates a knack for troubleshooting systems and executing necessary repairs.
  • Ability to follow both verbal and written instructions.
  • Capable of performing physical tasks, including lifting and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 50-70 lbs.
  • Able to work in challenging positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 40 feet, as well as working in ducts, crawl spaces, and above ceilings.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends, to meet customer needs.
  • Commitment to adhering to, implementing, and consistently following safety protocols and procedures.
  • Capable of obtaining and maintaining any licenses required by National, State, and Local regulations.
  • Possess a valid driver's license and maintain a driving record that meets company standards.
  • Able to pass a pre-employment background check and drug screening.
  • Exhibit a high level of customer service.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with others.
  • Self-motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Strong organizational skills, a positive attitude, and a quick learning ability.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
