Job Summary

The Catering Manager provides support and assistance with Catering activities, as well as assistance to the concession managers in the profitable management of concessions operations. This role requires independent initiative and authorization of employment actions, as well as management of employee relations to ensure a positive and compliant work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in the overall effective management of Catering and Concessions operations.
  • Ensure total compliance with all alcohol service policies and monitor alcohol service throughout events.
  • Provide on-going direction, supervision, and mentoring to hourly event staff, monitoring product quality and guest service.
  • Assist in troubleshooting technical problems with Point of Sale Systems and assist in vault opening, closing, and balancing.
  • Generate event employee schedules and verify employee time as required.
  • Assist in the on-going training, development, mentoring, and supervision of hourly employees.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school, or six months to one year of related experience and/or training.
  • Three to five years of experience in catering or concessions.
  • Concessions Manager Certificate from the National Association of Concessionaires.
  • Nationally recognized, advanced food service sanitation training course certification.
  • Familiarity with inventory cost control and menu planning.
  • Basic computer proficiency, including email, Excel, Word, Outlook, and Schedule+.
  • Working knowledge of Point of Sale and timekeeping systems.
  • Cash handling abilities and basic math skills.
  • Ability to work a variable schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
