Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Grants Financial Analyst to join our team at the Arizona Official Website of State of Arizona.

Job Description

The successful candidate will provide financial oversight for AHCCCS' portfolio of grants, ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations. This role involves monitoring grants, providing technical assistance to stakeholders, and reviewing Contractor Expenditure Reports (CERs). The analyst will also be responsible for ensuring federal compliance with grant requirements, reporting, and entering relevant information into E-Civis.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and review CERs for completion, accuracy, and allowability of expenses, ensuring expenditures comply with grant and State regulations.
  • Maintain various financial spreadsheets/trackers and assist in creating Standard Work to document financial processes related to assigned grants.
  • Prepare monthly expenditure reports, administration reconciliations, and grant activity reports in coordination with the supervisor.
  • Develop and review allocation letters, scopes of work, contract amendments, and project narratives.
  • Provide technical assistance to contractors, State agencies, and internal/external staff on federal grant requirements.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • 5 years of experience in grant services or direct behavioral health services, or a Bachelor's degree with 1 year of grant services or direct behavioral health services experience.
  • Knowledge of State government, governmental accounting, accounting software, and systems, as well as Federal Grants Management, Federal Regulations, and grant policies and procedures.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Estimated Salary Range

$60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
