Your role will involve maintaining accurate patient records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations, and assisting with various office tasks to streamline operations. Your organizational skills and attention to detail will be crucial in ensuring that our medical records are meticulously maintained and easily accessible.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient medical records, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Maintain and organize physical and digital filing systems for easy retrieval of records.
  • Assist healthcare professionals with administrative tasks as needed, including scheduling appointments and managing correspondence.
  • Input patient information into electronic medical record systems accurately and efficiently.
  • Respond to requests for medical records and coordinate with insurance companies as necessary.
  • Conduct regular audits of medical records to verify accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
  • Provide excellent customer service to patients and staff when addressing inquiries regarding medical records.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification in medical records or office administration preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Medical Records Clerk, Office Secretary, or similar role in a healthcare setting.
  • Strong knowledge of medical terminology and healthcare regulations (HIPAA).
  • Proficient in electronic medical record (EMR) systems and MS Office Suite.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
