Quality Assurance Nurse

The Quality Assurance Registered Nurse is a key member of our nursing team, responsible for ensuring that all facility nursing practices are followed. This role requires a strong understanding of current standards of nursing practice and the ability to lead a diverse team of individuals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Participate in the admission/discharge/transfer process, ensuring seamless transitions for patients and families.
• Thoroughly audit and document clinical findings, assessments, and interventions, maintaining accurate and detailed records.
• Administer prescribed medication(s) and treatment(s) in accordance with nursing standards and individual patient plans of care.
• Notify patients/families/responsible parties of changes in patient clinical status, providing timely and effective communication.
• Collaborate with medical staff and other departments to coordinate all aspects of patient care, ensuring a comprehensive and patient-centered approach.
• Supervise the delivery of care provided by nursing assistants, promoting a culture of excellence and teamwork.
• Identify training needs and communicate to Unit Manager or Staff Development Coordinator, fostering a culture of continuous learning and growth.
• Participate in training and/or precepting of new staff, ensuring a smooth onboarding process and effective knowledge transfer.
• Attend training, in-service education, and staff meetings, staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices in nursing.
• Perform other duties as necessary for the successful operation of the healthcare center, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements:
• Active, unencumbered licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.
• Ability to lead diverse team of individuals, promoting a culture of inclusivity and respect.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Strong ability to make independent decisions and work without direct supervision, demonstrating autonomy and self-motivation.
• Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, family members, visitors, government personnel, and the public, maintaining a professional and respectful demeanor at all times.
• Must have thorough knowledge of current standards of nursing practice, with a commitment to staying up-to-date on the latest developments and best practices.
• Must be knowledgeable of computer systems and applications, with the ability to effectively utilize technology to support patient care and administrative tasks.
• Excellent customer service focus, with a commitment to providing high-quality care and service to patients and families.
