Role Description:

Northrop Grumman Space Systems is looking for a Senior Systems Test Engineer to join our team. This role will be pivotal in supporting strategic defense initiatives. The position may include a competitive relocation assistance package.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical planning and integration for the Guidance System, ensuring comprehensive verification and validation processes.
  • Oversee the development of test equipment requirements and validate their functionality to meet project specifications.
  • Translate Systems Engineering and customer requirements into effective test solutions, considering technical, schedule, and budget constraints.
  • Conduct functional analyses and trade studies to convert end-user needs into precise hardware and software specifications.
  • Support all phases of the systems life-cycle, including concept development, design, integration, testing, and operational maintenance.
  • Guarantee the quality of integration and test products, including test plans, execution, and reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to enhance testing processes across various environments.
  • Engage with end-users to ensure that integration and test products meet quality standards and operational needs.

Qualifications:

  • 14 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's Degree; 12 years with a Master's; 9 years with a PhD; or 4 additional years of experience in lieu of a degree.
  • US Citizenship with an Active Secret Clearance or higher.
  • In-depth knowledge of inertial guidance and control systems.
  • Experience in integration and testing, particularly in test design and execution.
  • Proven ability to design and execute experiments for performance testing.
  • Experience in building and operating test environments.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Active Top-Secret Clearance or higher.
  • Strong background in systems engineering for complex aerospace projects.
  • Familiarity with environmental testing and test equipment development.
  • Experience in agile team environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and manage project schedules and budgets.

This position operates on a standard 9/80 work schedule, allowing for every other Friday off.
