Job Title: Refrigeration Specialist

Kinetik is a leading provider of oil and gas services in the Permian Basin, and we are seeking a highly skilled Refrigeration Specialist to join our team.

Job Summary:

The Refrigeration Specialist will be responsible for maintaining the integrity of our industrial refrigeration systems, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of refrigeration equipment and systems, as well as excellent maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a routine and predictive maintenance program for refrigeration equipment and systems.
  • Manage safety protocols and develop best practices for refrigeration systems in the plant.
  • Perform routine and predictive maintenance tasks on refrigeration equipment and systems, and direct other workers as needed.
  • Analyze data to make preventative maintenance and repair decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration equipment and systems, including supervision of contractors as needed.
  • Oversee the installation, commissioning, and startup of refrigeration systems and equipment.
Requirements:
  • 2-year degree in Industrial HVAC/R technology or related field, or completion of recognized apprenticeship program and 2 years of industrial electrical maintenance experience, or 4 years of experience performing refrigeration maintenance, testing, and repairs in an industrial environment.
  • Electrically qualified person, by virtue of formal training and direct experience, or able to obtain qualification.
  • Possesses knowledge in electrical safe work practices, electrical equipment theory and operation, and electrical maintenance standards.
  • Possesses expert knowledge in the use of computer software, VOAMs, vibration monitors, and data recorders, gauges, pumps, and other specialized test equipment and routinely used maintenance tools.
Working Conditions:
  • Work may involve walking and standing on rough terrain with uneven and slippery surfaces.
  • The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate but may regularly require exposure to loud noises from machinery.
  • Will be required to regularly drive to other field facilities within their assigned region.
  • Will regularly use a computer to create, record, store, revise, and save documentation needed to perform their role.
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
  • Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in all working conditions noted above.
  • Ability to wear electrical safety equipment for extended periods.
  • Able to lift and carry up to 25-50 lbs. in a safe manner.
  • Ability to talk, listen, and speak clearly on a telephone and in-person.
  • Moved to working conditions section.
  • Ability to possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a safe driving record.
