Beverage Service Volunteers
This role is crucial for the success of the festival. Volunteers must be at least 21 years of age. It is essential that at least one volunteer per shift holds a valid bartending license for the designated area. A member of the organizing committee will oversee and provide guidance throughout the event.
Responsibilities include serving and replenishing beer, soda, and water to festival attendees. Volunteers must ensure that alcohol is served only to individuals who are 21 years or older, as indicated by wristbands provided at the entrance.
Volunteers should be knowledgeable about responsible beverage service practices and actively discourage excessive alcohol consumption among guests.
Key duties involve handling cash transactions accurately, including counting money for beverages and providing correct change to patrons.
Volunteers will also be responsible for directing guests to medical services, police assistance, and providing general event information such as restroom locations, ATM availability, band schedules, food options, and family-friendly activities.
Additionally, volunteers should be prepared to share information about the festival's history and its associated organizations.
It is required that at least one volunteer per shift is capable of lifting and carrying up to 30 pounds.
A friendly and courteous demeanor is essential. Punctuality and a commitment to completing the entire shift are expected.
