Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Generator Service Technician to join our team at Power Plus, a leading provider of power solutions to Fortune 500 companies. As a key member of our Generator Service & Maintenance Division, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, diagnosing, repairing, and testing generators ranging from 5 kw to 4000kw.

Key Responsibilities
  • Inspect and maintain generator systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Diagnose and repair complex electrical and mechanical issues
  • Interact with customers to provide exceptional service and support
  • Complete paperwork and documentation accurately and efficiently
  • Read and apply technical manuals, blueprints, and schematics to resolve issues
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical and electrical fields, particularly with diesel generators
  • Technical schooling in automotive or transportation fields, or equivalent experience
  • Ability to learn and apply new technologies
  • Availability to work various shifts, including weekends, holidays, and on-call rotations
  • Ability to safely operate heavy equipment, forklifts, and mobile cranes in accordance with OSHA regulations
  • Certified Journeyman Electrician a plus, but not required
