Key Responsibilities
- Establish and implement goals that synchronize procurement objectives with the acquisition of technically proficient IT products, systems, and services.
- Collaborate with DISA's financial organization to ensure fiscal integrity and compliance.
- Prepare comprehensive synopses, detailed reports, and analyses for senior leadership regarding IT research, development, integration, and implementation.
- Prioritize IT projects and initiatives, providing authoritative evaluations and recommendations for the integration of new technologies into DISA's ongoing priorities.
- Advise senior management on IT problem resolution and operational improvements, maintaining awareness of customer missions and challenges.
Conditions of Employment
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This position may require access to classified information and a favorable suitability review and security clearance.
- Drug testing designated position; candidates will undergo urinalysis for illegal drugs prior to appointment.
- This is a Critical Acquisition Position (CAP); candidates must sign a service agreement.
To qualify for this position, candidates must possess:
- At least one year of experience demonstrating competencies necessary for success at the GG-15 level.
- Experience directing programs with technical authority across various IT disciplines, systems, and applications, including contract management.
- Leadership in research, analysis, and design within core areas such as information technology warfare and emerging technology.
No substitution of education for qualifying experience at the GG-15 grade level.
Additional Information
This position is in the Excepted Service and does not confer eligibility for conversion to the Competitive Service. A three-year trial period may be required for candidates without prior completion of a trial or probationary period in the excepted or competitive service. Telework availability will depend on mission requirements and supervisory discretion.
