Job Summary:

Pursuit of Independence Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as time management, shopping, transportation, and personal hygiene.
  • Document all services provided to each member prior to the end of each shift in the Therap system.
  • Work collaboratively with the House Manager and other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our members.
  • Provide support and encouragement to individuals to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.

Requirements:

  • 18 years of age or older
  • Valid driver's license and current personal proof of insurance
  • Chauffer's license or the ability to obtain it within your first 2 weeks
  • Minimum of High School diploma, GED or life experience equivalent
  • Mandatory Adult Abuse Training or the ability to obtain it within your first 6 months of employment
  • Ability to lift or help transfer adults requiring assistance
  • Ability to objectively document all services provided
  • CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment
