Pursuit of Independence Inc is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Specialist to join our team. As a Support Specialist, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with disabilities, enabling them to live independently and achieve their goals.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist individuals with daily living tasks, such as time management, shopping, transportation, and personal hygiene.
- Document all services provided to each member prior to the end of each shift in the Therap system.
- Work collaboratively with the House Manager and other staff members to ensure the best possible outcomes for our members.
- Provide support and encouragement to individuals to help them achieve their goals and improve their quality of life.
Requirements:
- 18 years of age or older
- Valid driver's license and current personal proof of insurance
- Chauffer's license or the ability to obtain it within your first 2 weeks
- Minimum of High School diploma, GED or life experience equivalent
- Mandatory Adult Abuse Training or the ability to obtain it within your first 6 months of employment
- Ability to lift or help transfer adults requiring assistance
- Ability to objectively document all services provided
- CPR and First Aid certification or the ability to obtain it within 90 days of employment
