Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team at GFL Environmental. As a Diesel Mechanic, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain and repair heavy equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, such as oil changes and tire rotations
  • Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues
  • Collaborate with other technicians to complete projects and meet deadlines
  • Ensure all work is completed to a high standard and in accordance with company policies and procedures

Requirements
  • 2+ years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic or equivalent
  • Strong knowledge of heavy equipment and vehicle maintenance and repair
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Post-secondary education in a related field
  • Certifications in heavy equipment operation and maintenance
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management systems
