We are seeking an experienced Operations Manager - Production Team Lead to join our team at Land O'Lakes. Key Responsibilities- Team Management: Develop and direct programs to ensure the efficient and cost-effective operation and utilization of facility assets, manage safety, quality, service, and cost performance within assigned area, and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Leadership: Collaborate with Plant Steering Team to develop and implement short and long-term strategies, including project leadership, staffing, and employee engagement, and make recommendations to senior management on long-range labor strategies and capital equipment needs.
- Communication: Ensure effective communication within teams, across teams, and to management, and support areas, and develop flexible, multi-skilled team members to enable movement of people as needed to accomplish work.
- Performance Management: Conduct performance evaluations, recommend salary adjustments, reward employees, or take disciplinary action as necessary, and address complaints and resolve issues.
- Education: High School Diploma/GED plus 7 plus years of supervisory/management experience in food processing/manufacturing operations with solid progressive leadership experience.
- Skills: Strong presentation, communication, training, and interpersonal skills, proven track record of understanding the drivers of product and labor cost variances, and ability to influence a positive employee environment.
- Preferred Qualifications: 10 plus years of supervisory/management experience in food processing/manufacturing operations with solid progressive leadership experience, Bachelor's or Master's degree, and knowledge of reading, analyzing, and interpreting technical and business journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
This role may require off-shift hours, weekends, and holidays as needed.
