Job Summary:The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in engineering and a passion for protecting lives from fire risks in the built environment. You will work collaboratively with our multi-discipline engineering team to provide fire and life safety code analysis, egress analysis, fire resistant rated construction analysis, and other fire protection services.
Responsibilities:- Design and implement fire protection systems, including suppression systems, fire detection, fire alarm and mass notification systems.
- Perform research and document for internal and external distribution.
- Analysis of existing fire protection systems and design new fire protection systems.
- Building and fire code analysis and interpretation.
- Utilization of AutoCAD, Revit to prepare fire protection system designs.
- Utilization of FDS, Pyrosim, CONTAM programs to execute performance-based design efforts.
- Bachelor's degree (B.S.) in engineering from accredited college or university. Fire Protection specific degree preferred.
- Experience working in AutoCAD and/or REVIT (preferred).
- General building construction knowledge (preferred).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including oral presentation skills.
- Ability to work on a highly-motivated team, think outside the box, and be proud of the work you do.
