As a Supervisor, you will lead this team to not only ensure efficient operations but also foster a motivated workforce that contributes significantly to the company's overall success.
Key Responsibilities- Communicate with specific directions and procedures to follow in carrying out assigned tasks.
- Monitor team members on site during production activities to ensure compliance with the standards of operations, ethic, and safety procedures.
- Must be skilled and experienced in the department to guide the team to ensure production efficiency and quality.
- Recognize the contributions of every team member and encourages them to work together in harmony, sharing ideas and maintaining good relationships in the execution of production tasks.
- Ensure completed product meets quality standards before moving to the next area.
- Manage the production schedule and coordinating the processing of orders as efficiently as possible to get the work processed through the facility.
- Ensure operational quality and cost objectives while meeting on-time delivery schedule.
- Ensure all workers have proper safety gear and clothing before performing work.
- Interview and assist with selecting new hires.
- Ability to fill in on a job when employee is absence.
To ensure your success from day one in this role, Justrite Manufacturing requires the following qualifications at a minimum:
- Computer knowledge including Microsoft suite, especially for production data analysis.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, and a strong work ethic.
- Relevant training and certification in industrial production, engineering technology, or any related field.
- 5+ years manufacturing experience with a minimum 3 years supervisory/management role.
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Manage workforce size, hours, attendance, and time off to meet production schedule.
- Diligently follow safe work practices for yourself and team members at all times.
- Ability to create and adhere to production processes.
- Ability to write reports legibly and accurately.
- Excellent organization, communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively set goals, lead, and motivate others.
- Knowledge of manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Promote a flexible team environment with job rotation and cross-training as needed.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions with minimal supervision.
