Job Summary

As a File Intake Clerk, you'll play a critical role in our Consumer Collections department, handling new client accounts and ensuring accuracy and adherence to client and legal guidelines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up new claims in our system, utilizing client-provided data and performing thorough reviews for accuracy and formatting errors.
  • Load and review daily updates from clients, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Download and import Account Level Documentation, reviewing for accurate balances and consumer information.
  • Maintain strong communication and customer service with our client base, responding to inquiries and resolving issues promptly.
  • Run manual and automated credit check reports, identifying and correcting balance discrepancies as necessary.
  • Generate and send Initial Notice letters with accurate balance and file information.
  • Process judgments obtained by previous firms in both practicing and non-practicing states.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years equivalent experience in a related field.
  • Associate's degree preferred, with proficiency in creating and revising Excel spreadsheets.
  • Ability to analyze and decipher data, including status of debtor payments, account balances, and litigation process in client reports.
  • Understanding of the collection litigation process, a plus.
  • Ability to multi-task a variety of assignments regularly, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in basic math and organizational skills, with a strong attention to detail.
  • Must be able to type a minimum of 50 WPM or more.
