JOB SUMMARY:
The Financial Operations Partner acts as a vital business analyst and intermediary between operational functions and financial departments by leveraging financial insights to conduct projections and analyze outcomes that align with the overarching objectives of Textron Aviation.
Moreover, the Financial Operations Partner enhances the organization's comprehension and awareness of operational performance metrics and financial scenario planning, as well as the implications of management decisions on financial outcomes.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
Engage in forecasting, monthly/quarterly business reporting, variance analysis, and month-end closing activities for the supported organizations.
Develop weekly cash flow forecasts and monitor actual cash inflows.
Collaborate across various functions within the organization and facilitate communication among finance functions to ensure accurate and predictive financial data is disseminated throughout the organization.
Understand key performance indicators and operational drivers of business units and assess performance against established metrics.Accountable for forecast precision and tracking corrective actions.
Assist in formulating annual operational plans, long-term strategies, and capital budgeting processes.
Potentially participate in monthly assessments of inventory levels, generating reports for Operations on inventory trends and turnover, and conducting monthly evaluations of excess and obsolete inventory (E&O).
Execute special projects and ad-hoc financial reporting as necessary.Establish and maintain positive relationships with Operations, Program Management, Engineering, and Supply Chain.
EDUCATION / EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor's degree required in:
Accounting
Finance
Other related disciplines
0-2 years of relevant experience preferred.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
Strong sense of accountability and integrity.
Robust analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
Proactive and seizes opportunities.
Effectively manages time and prioritizes tasks.
Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel required - ability to create formulas (V-lookups, sumif, etc.) and utilize PivotTables. Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Outlook is also necessary.
Experience with SAP.
Knowledge of Hyperion/SmartView is advantageous.
