Job Description

RWD Consulting, LLC seeks a highly skilled and experienced Subject Matter Expert to join our team in supporting the EUR-NEA Israeli-Palestinian-North Africa (IPNA) team focused on the Gaza Crisis Response.

About the Job

This is a challenging opportunity for an individual with expertise in managing day-to-day operations of a team, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.

Responsibilities
  • Assist the GS-14 FAO Team Lead in preparing, facilitating, and supporting the humanitarian response in Gaza.
  • Help manage the day-to-day operations of the team, in consultation with the Team Lead, including scheduling, assigning tasks, and ensuring work is completed on time and to a high standard.
  • Provide expert advice and expertise which advances the Bureau's mission to respond to the crisis, and ongoing humanitarian relief organizations.
  • Work with a wide range of stakeholders, including U.S. government agencies, international organizations, and other partners involved in the humanitarian response.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree required in a field relevant to the subject matter at issue (e.g., Middle East Studies, International Relations, or Political Science).
  • At least 6 years of work experience preferred, with significant DoS and foreign service institutional knowledge of the relevant subject matter (humanitarian/Palestinian issues).
  • Excellent critical and creative thinking and analytical skills, with a focus on qualitative analysis.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, with ability to present logical and cogent oral presentations of results of analysis.
  • Subject Matter Expert experience in working for U.S. foreign affairs agencies and/or international organizations preferred.

Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
