Key Responsibilities- Design Development: Utilize CAD software to create technically accurate and deliverable drawings, ensuring high-quality output.
- Quality Assurance: Review and correct work from red lines, and backcheck to ensure accuracy and compliance with design standards.
- Specifications and Submittals: Write specifications, review submittals, and coordinate project submissions to ensure timely and accurate delivery.
- Project Coordination: Collaborate with technical, administrative, and design staff to prepare advanced multi-discipline drawing sets for assigned projects.
- Quality Control: Promote and support quality assurance and quality control processes to improve deliverables and reduce design errors and omissions.
- Research and Compliance: Research, review, and interpret written design standards, regulations, code compliance, and permit requirements, and apply them to design projects.
- Detailing and Documentation: Independently create standard details for projects as directed, and review shop drawings and working drawing submissions from contractors.
- Calculations and Estimates: Assist with design calculations, calculate quantities, review technical specifications, and prepare cost estimates.
- Education: Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline is preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of eight (8) years' experience is preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: N/A.
- Desire for Growth: Must have a strong desire to expand knowledge base and undertake new responsibilities.
- Technical Skills: Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, CAD software, and other related software programs.
- Communication and Presentation: Must be a strong communicator and have strong presentation skills, with the ability to mentor and lead.
