Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement network architecture
  • Collaborate with IT Ops Management to design and implement functional networks
  • Install and configure network hardware, including firewalls
  • Configure network switches, VPN, optical hardware, wireless networks, and VOIP
  • Research new technologies in support of data, VoIP, conferencing systems, and WiFi
  • Deploy wireless network infrastructures and make recommendations on systems enhancements for optimal operation
  • Recommend IT solutions to business and management problems
  • Work with Facilities Engineering group on implementing technologies into new or renovated structures
  • Establish and document standards and procedures
  • Execute complex infrastructure build activities (e.g. LAN, WAN, Server, Database, etc)

Network Monitoring:

  • Monitor and analyze data to improve system performance
  • Monitor network usage and security issues
  • Deploy patches to mitigate any threat to systems
  • Respond to issues affecting the network architecture
  • Support work and ticket resolution associated to the network architecture
