Key Responsibilities
  • Provide leadership and supervision to the outpatient team, ensuring that all staff members are equipped to provide exceptional care to our patients.

  • Coordinate and monitor in-service opportunities for staff continuing education, ensuring that all team members are up-to-date with the latest best practices and research.
  • Supervise utilization review and performance improvement initiatives in the outpatient setting, ensuring that our services are meeting the needs of our patients and families.
  • Provide education and training to staff on age/disability/cultural sensitivity and diversity, ensuring that all team members are equipped to provide care that is responsive to the needs of our diverse patient population.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other stakeholders, ensuring that all interactions are respectful, empathetic, and patient-centered.
  • Conduct treatment planning, discharge planning, and facilitate support groups to meet the needs of our patients and families.
  • Work closely with the facility administrator to achieve financial goals and maintain overall administrative and committee structure.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.
Requirements

We are seeking a candidate with a Master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling, including LMSW, LCSW, LPC, LMFT, MSW, or Psychologist. A minimum of 2 years' experience in inpatient/outpatient psychiatric treatment, with at least 1 year of supervisory experience, is preferred. At least 1 year of experience working with chronically mentally ill, adult, and geriatric patient populations is also required.

Excellent assertive communication skills, a sound leader with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and good writing and composition skills are essential. Ability to organize and prioritize high-volume workload, function with minimal supervision, and maintain overall good work attitude and interact cooperatively and professionally with other staff members are also required.

Subject to many interruptions, occasional pressure due to multiple calls and inquiries, and high-paced and stressful work environment, the successful candidate must be able to cope mentally and physically with the atmosphere. This position requires spending approximately 85% or more of the time inside a building, which offers protection.
