Role Summary:

The ʻAuwai Program Manager will assist the Executive & Programs Director in the oversight and execution of the ʻAuwai programs and services. This role emphasizes daily operational management, program coordination, and the effective realization of strategic objectives. The Program Manager will be instrumental in upholding program standards, cultivating partnerships, and enhancing the professional growth of team members and interns.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Program Implementation & Coordination: Direct the planning and execution of ʻAuwai program activities, ensuring they align with strategic objectives and operate smoothly.
  • Team Collaboration: Work alongside coordinators to design and assess youth leadership internships, fostering effective communication and resource distribution.
  • Curriculum Development: Contribute to the enhancement of the ʻAuwai curriculum, integrating feedback and best practices to meet the needs of diverse learners.
  • Staff Development: Mentor program staff and facilitate training opportunities that align with program goals, ensuring a supportive work environment.
  • Data Management: Organize and maintain program data, preparing reports to evaluate program effectiveness and suggest improvements.
  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure the ʻAuwai programs are in sync with broader organizational initiatives, advocating for policies that support educational goals.

Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree in Education, Social Work, or a related field is preferred; a Bachelor's Degree with relevant experience is acceptable.
  • Demonstrated leadership in program management or educational initiatives, particularly within nonprofit settings.
  • Experience working with Native Hawaiian or indigenous communities is highly valued.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of building relationships with diverse stakeholders.

Working Conditions:

This position typically operates within an office environment, with flexibility required for outdoor activities and varying weather conditions. The standard work schedule is Monday through Friday.
