Heavy Equipment Technician

This is a traveling position that will be supporting job sites throughout Southern Maine.
Job Summary
Cianbro is seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing day-to-day preventative maintenance and repair of all types of heavy equipment, including cranes, dirt, and other heavy construction equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including inspections, repairs, and pre-ship checks.
- Repair and maintain lattice boom cranes, including mobilization and demobilization, and all aspects of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
- Manage inventory control, including researching parts, completing material requisitions, and returning unused parts to vendors.
- Develop and meet schedules, identify and mitigate job hazards, and complete daily activity plans.
Requirements
- A minimum of 5 years of experience as a heavy equipment mechanic and/or a combination of technical education and mechanical experience is required.
- Strong attention to detail, self-motivation, and effective communication skills are essential.
