Travel may be necessary as required for projects, conferences, marketing, and other responsibilities. Qualified candidates should possess the following skills:
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in water/wastewater and civil engineering
  • Ability to develop and oversee detailed project delivery related to water infrastructure planning and modeling, including work scope, effort levels, and associated time estimates
  • Manage project scope, budget, and timelines for a team executing Water Business Line projects
  • Handle multiple projects simultaneously
  • Responsible for time management and quality of deliverables
  • Maintain accurate and current project accounting for all assigned projects
  • Provide written and verbal project updates for regional client service managers, team leaders, and clients as needed, including project status, milestones, accounting, and progress reports
  • Prepare and implement Project Management Plans and Quality Control Plans
  • Facilitate both internal and external project workshops
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in civil, environmental, chemical, or mechanical engineering from an accredited program
  • Minimum of five years of technical experience in water and wastewater, including at least two years in master planning for water and/or wastewater systems
  • Extensive experience in executing master planning projects and developing capital improvement programs
  • Professional Engineer (PE) registration or eligibility to obtain within six months of employment
  • Proficiency with hydraulic modeling software (e.g., Bentley WaterGEMS, Bentley SewerGEMS, Innovyze InfoWater, Innovyze InfoWorks ICM)
  • Strong communication abilities
Preferred Qualifications
  • Master's degree in civil or environmental engineering from an accredited program
  • Experience leading projects related to water supply, distribution, wastewater collection systems, and integrated water master planning
  • Familiarity with asset management programs for buried, linear water and/or wastewater system assets
  • Experience with rate studies and impact fee assessments
  • Knowledge of water supply planning, water rights permitting, conservation plans, and drought contingency strategies
  • Proficient in using geographical information systems (GIS) for data management, analysis, and presentation
