We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Dental Assistant to join our team at Smiles on Florida in Lakeland, FL. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing chair-side clinical support to our doctors and hygienists, ensuring efficient patient flow, and delivering positive patient experiences.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide chair-side clinical support to doctors and hygienists, including charting, patient education, and operatory setup and cleanup.
  • Manage patient flow to ensure efficient appointments and minimize wait times.
  • Welcome patients and deliver exceptional patient experiences, ensuring a positive and supportive environment.
  • Capture and process X-Rays, ensuring accurate and timely results.
  • Enter patient treatment plans and maintain files at the direction of the dentist.
  • Complete sterilization processes for equipment and operatories, maintaining a clean and safe environment.
  • Monitor laboratory cases and ensure they are ready for the next day's schedule.

Qualifications:

  • Dental Assisting Certification in the appropriate state from an accredited school.
  • Previous experience as a Dental Assistant is required.
  • X-Ray certification, or the ability to acquire in a timely manner.
  • Coronal polishing and Nitrous Oxide certifications are preferred but not required.
  • Attention to detail and strong communication skills.
  • The ability and willingness to create a positive, supportive environment for patients and team members.
