Job Title: Principal Investigator - Cultural Resources Management

We are seeking a highly experienced Principal Investigator to lead our cultural resources management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing projects and staff from start to finish, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage tasks and schedules of project assistants and field directors.
  • Maintain current knowledge of state and federal regulations regarding Section 106, NEPA, and other cultural resources reviews.
  • Implement investigation strategies for each project based on size, type, location, and permitting requirements.
  • Communicate investigation strategies to field directors and staff as needed.
  • Conduct state or federal agency consultations on a project-by-project basis.
  • Review final data sets and reports for all projects prior to submittal to clients.
  • Direct Phase II or Phase III investigations with the help of field directors and project assistants.
  • Manage schedules and budgets for cultural resources tasks on projects.
Qualifications:
  • Masters Degree in Anthropology or Archaeology.
  • Meet the Secretary of the Interiors Professional Qualifications Standards for Archaeology.
  • Minimum of 6 years of professional archaeological fieldwork experience.
  • 1 to 3 years experience as a Principal Investigator.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations.
  • Knowledge of archaeological research issues, principles, and procedures.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
