Job Title: Licensed Vocation Nurse

Aveanna Healthcare LLC is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocation Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Vocation Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and collaborating with our healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocation Nurse will be responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. This includes observing and assessing patient condition and care needs, documenting all activities and assessments, and participating in the development and implementation of the nursing care plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Observe and assess patient condition and care needs, and report changes to the supervisor and/or physician as appropriate.
  • Document all activities, assessments, and nursing actions in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the nursing care plan.
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses requiring intervention and implement care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability by complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both the staff and the patient according to OSHA standards.
  • Educate the patient and family regarding the disease process, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
Additional Requirements:
  • California: One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license.
  • Continuing Education as required by state.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
  • Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
  • Must have visual and hearing acuity.
  • Must have a strong sense of smell and touch.
