Job Title: Licensed Vocational Nurse

Aveanna Healthcare is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will provide high-quality patient care and support to our clients.

Job Summary:

The Licensed Vocational Nurse is responsible for delivering and coordinating quality patient care in compliance with physician orders. This includes observing and assessing patient condition, documenting all activities and care, and participating in the development and implementation of the nursing care plan.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver and coordinate quality patient care in compliance with physician orders.
  • Observe and assess patient condition, reporting changes to the supervisor and/or physician as necessary.
  • Document all activities, assessments, and care in a timely manner.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of the nursing care plan.
  • Take appropriate nursing action based on assessment and achieve expected outcomes.
  • Recognize changes in patient needs and responses, implementing care to prevent risk or reduce risk.
  • Accept responsibility for personal and professional accountability, complying with Aveanna policies, state and federal regulations, and the Nurse Practice Act.
  • Provide care utilizing infection control measures that protect both staff and patient according to OSHA standards.
  • Educate patients and families regarding disease processes, self-care techniques, and prevention strategies.
Requirements:
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
  • Current, unrestricted state license as a Licensed Nurse in the state of practice.
  • Current CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in clinical assessments, documentation, and compliance with nursing care and policies and procedures.
Additional Requirements:
  • California: One (1) year of experience required working under current nursing license.
  • Continuing Education as required by state.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Attention to detail.
  • Time Management.
  • Effective problem-solving and conflict resolution.
  • Good organization and communication skills.
Physical Requirements:
  • Must be able to speak, write, read, and understand English.
  • Must be able to travel.
  • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
  • Must be able to sufficiently reposition patients and move equipment without assistance.
  • Prolonged walking, standing, bending, kneeling, reaching, twisting.
  • Must be able to sit and climb stairs.
  • Must have visual and hearing acuity.
  • Must have a strong sense of smell and touch.
Environment:
  • Must be able to function in a wide variety of environments, which may involve exposure to allergens and other various conditions.
  • Possible exposure to blood, bodily fluids, and infectious diseases.
