Pharmacist - Medication Expert

As a Pharmacist at Samaritan Health Services, you will play a critical role in ensuring the optimal use of medications for our patients. This position requires a strong understanding of pharmacology, clinical expertise, and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and dispense medications in accordance with state and federal regulations, as well as SHS policies.
- Assess the clinical status of patients across various age groups, including neonates, infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.
- Provide accurate and timely drug information to the medical team to support informed decision-making.
- Develop and implement patient education programs to promote medication adherence and optimal health outcomes.
- Current unencumbered Oregon Pharmacist Licensure is required.
- Previous hospital pharmacy experience is preferred.
- All job offers are contingent upon the candidate passing a pre-employment/post offer drug screen.
- ACLS and PALS certification within six (6) months of hire.
- Effective written and oral communication skills to explain complex issues and exchange information between team members.
- Ability to perform group presentations and listen to and understand complex information and ideas.
- Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware, software, and applications.
- Ability to operate applications, enter data, and process information.
- Ability to work with a diverse population and possess a basic understanding of age-related differences in caring for and/or communicating with patients and caregivers.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and demonstrate flexibility.
- Ability to identify complex problems, review related information, and develop and evaluate options to implement solutions.
