Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Flight Training Manager to join our team at Access Dubuque. As a key member of our Aviation Department, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of high-quality flight training programs and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective flight training strategies to meet the needs of our students and stakeholders
  • Manage and coordinate the activities of flight instructors and other aviation staff
  • Ensure compliance with Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations and industry standards
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of flight training programs and make recommendations for improvement
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless integration of flight training with other academic programs
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in aviation or a related field; Master's degree preferred
  • Meet FAA recent flight experience requirements pursuant to FAR part 61.57
  • Meet all FAR Part 141 Assistant Chief Flight Instructor requirements for Private and Instrument certificates
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Flight Instructor in a Part 141 flight school or collegiate flight training environment
  • Current FAA Flight Instructor Certificate (CFII and MEI) in Fixed-Wing aircraft and a current FAA flight medical
  • Effective communication and leadership skills
  • Exceptional organizational and time management skills
