Job Title: Pharmacist

UPMC Western Maryland is seeking a skilled Pharmacist to join our team in an inpatient setting. As a Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in ensuring the provision of cost-effective pharmacotherapy and contributing to optimal patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide experiential education for present and future healthcare practitioners
  • Support drug-related research
  • Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, JCAHO standards, and health system, hospital, and department policies
  • Support a variety of patient populations, ranging from geriatrics to pediatrics
  • Participate in multidisciplinary development of new initiative ideas
Requirements:
  • B.S. degree in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy (Ph.D.) from an accredited school of pharmacy
  • 3-6 months hospital pharmacy experience preferred
  • Previous experience or familiarity with investigational drug control procedures and protocol design preferred
