Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Dental Hygienist to join our team at Dental Group of Lubbock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform dental hygiene procedures, including cleaning, scaling, and polishing teeth.
  • Take and develop dental x-rays.
  • Conduct oral cancer screenings and periodontal assessments.
  • Provide personalized oral health care instructions and educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques.
  • Administer local anesthesia and nitrous oxide as needed.
  • Assist the dentist during procedures and maintain a sterile working environment.
  • Document patient treatment plans, progress notes, and other relevant information in electronic dental records systems.
  • Follow HIPAA guidelines to ensure patient confidentiality.
  • Adhere to strict infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean dental environment.

Requirements:

  • Valid state dental hygiene license.
  • Graduation from an accredited dental hygiene program.
  • Proficiency in medical terminology and knowledge of dental anatomy.
  • Familiarity with aseptic technique and infection control procedures.
  • Experience with medical imaging equipment and techniques.
  • Strong patient assessment skills to identify oral health conditions and develop appropriate treatment plans.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients on oral health care practices.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with other dental professionals.
