Healthcare Support Professional

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Healthcare Support Professional to join our team at True North Recovery Inc. in the field of addiction recovery. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in supporting patients on their journey to recovery.
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $48,000 per year, based on national averages and industry standards. This compensation package includes ICHRA coverage, 401K matching, life insurance, vision and dental benefits, paid holidays, time off accrual, sick days, and training opportunities.
As a Healthcare Support Professional, your primary responsibilities will include assisting medical providers with administrative tasks, preparing patients for examinations, obtaining medical history and vital signs, instructing patients on collecting samples, administering testing, monitoring patient reactions to medications, sanitizing exam rooms, maintaining medical supply inventory, and working with insurance companies to obtain prior authorizations and copay information.
To succeed in this role, you will need a high school diploma or equivalent, completion of a MA program or equivalent, CPR certification, basic understanding of clinical pharmacology and medical terminology, previous experience with scheduling patients, answering phones, ordering supplies, and managing electronic medical records (EMR). You should also possess strong communication skills, empathy, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
