Reliability Engineer

West Fraser, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for improving the uptime of our plant and enhancing the efficiency of our machinery and processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analyze plant downtime, quality, safety, and financial data to identify areas for improvement.
- Conduct and coordinate failure investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of solutions to improve reliability and performance.
- Modify machinery and processes to improve plant reliability and reduce operating costs.
- Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
- Take ownership of the division's hydraulic and compressor programs.
- Integrate West Fraser's Best Maintenance Practices into existing and new processes and procedures.
- Utilize and improve the mill's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage reliability activities.
- Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance activities as needed.
- Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, lower costs, and reduce waste.
Requirements:
- Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar Engineering Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
- Relevant experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and/or trades experience is an asset.
- Knowledge of Condition Monitoring Techniques, including Vibration, Thermography, Oil Analysis, and Ultrasonic.
- Eligible to legally work in the United States.
- Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
- General experience using CMMS programs.
- Possess a high level of accountability and a focus on personal and team safety.
- Ability to adhere to all company policies and standards.
