Reliability Engineer

West Fraser, Inc is seeking a highly skilled Reliability Engineer to join our maintenance team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for improving the uptime of our plant and enhancing the efficiency of our machinery and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze plant downtime, quality, safety, and financial data to identify areas for improvement.
• Conduct and coordinate failure investigations, including root cause analysis and implementation of solutions to improve reliability and performance.
• Modify machinery and processes to improve plant reliability and reduce operating costs.
• Support preventative and predictive maintenance programs, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
• Take ownership of the division's hydraulic and compressor programs.
• Integrate West Fraser's Best Maintenance Practices into existing and new processes and procedures.
• Utilize and improve the mill's computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) to manage reliability activities.
• Assist in the planning and execution of maintenance activities as needed.
• Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, lower costs, and reduce waste.

Requirements:

• Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or similar Engineering Degree is preferred but not mandatory.
• Relevant experience with industrial manufacturing equipment and/or trades experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of Condition Monitoring Techniques, including Vibration, Thermography, Oil Analysis, and Ultrasonic.
• Eligible to legally work in the United States.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED.
• General experience using CMMS programs.
• Possess a high level of accountability and a focus on personal and team safety.
• Ability to adhere to all company policies and standards.
