Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with the maintenance and repair of plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances.
  • Perform routine cleaning and polishing of furniture and fixtures.
  • Make minor repairs to doors, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Record information from meters and gauges at specified intervals to verify operating conditions.
  • Make adjustments and minor repairs to heating, cooling, ventilating, plumbing, and electrical systems.
  • Regularly replace HVAC air filters.
  • Monitor building security and safety by performing tasks such as locking doors after operating hours and checking electrical appliance use to ensure that hazards are not created.
  • Move heavy furniture, equipment, and supplies either manually or by using hand trucks.
  • Mow and trim lawns and shrubbery, using mowers and hand and power trimmers; clear debris.
  • Notify managers about the need for major repairs or additions to building operating systems.
  • Remove snow from sidewalks, driveways, and parking areas.
  • Set up, arrange, and remove decorations, tables, chairs, ladders, and scaffolding to prepare facilities for events.
  • Perform ad-hoc cleaning of building floors by sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming; gather and empty trash; service, clean, and supply restrooms.
  • Drive vehicles required to perform work.
Requirements
  • Valid Non-CDL Class C driver's license may be required.
