Position and Responsibilities Overview

Oversee and manage daily operations of project teams assigned to various initiatives.

Initiate, review, and supervise necessary project documentation and administration to mitigate claims and safeguard the interests of RK Mechanical, Inc. and our clients.

Coordinate the procurement of materials and equipment with the purchasing team, focusing on the buyout strategy to meet or exceed established timelines and budgetary constraints.

Set up, monitor, and update project schedules.
Ensure that submittal reviews, processing, approvals, and logs are properly established and maintained.
Collect payments, progress billings, and retention receivables punctually.
Accountable for the overall financial performance of all assigned projects, including ongoing cost management and forecasting.
Prepare and submit all required monthly contract valuations accurately and on time.
Review, approve, and process all invoices from subcontractors and suppliers.

Qualifications

Project Manager 1 & 2

Exhibit independent decision-making capabilities.
Responsible for managing a specific department or functional area as either a manager or subject matter expert.
Foster and maintain relationships with key personnel and other departments.
Make authoritative decisions and recommendations that significantly impact company activities.
Demonstrate a high level of creativity, foresight, and sound judgment in addressing unprecedented challenges.
Define program objectives and requirements, organize projects, and develop standards and guidelines for diverse activities.
Possess proven specialist expertise, typically with over 10 years of experience, including fiscal responsibilities.
A college/university degree or an equivalent combination of skills and experience is generally expected for specified technical roles.

Assistant Project Manager

Engage in indirect supervision.
Utilize advanced techniques and knowledge within the role.
Apply a diverse understanding of applicable principles and practices to a wide range of assignments.
Make independent decisions regarding complexities and methodologies.
Provide supervision and guidance primarily related to overall objectives, critical issues, new concepts, and policy matters.

Act as a liaison to internal and external groups, with the responsibility to act independently on matters related to the function.

A college/university degree with 7 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of skills and experience is generally expected for specified technical roles.
