Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Dairy Production Specialist to join our team at Dairy Farmers of America. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining our blending equipment to produce high-quality dairy products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate Blending Equipment: Safely and efficiently operate continuous flow or vat-type equipment to process milk, cream, and other dairy products, following established methods and formulas.
  • Monitor Quality and Safety: Review all quality, food safety, and product specifications to ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Control Blending Process: Monitor blending equipment according to specifications, control valves, pumps, speed, and temperatures to achieve optimal blending results.
  • Perform Equipment Maintenance: Assemble and disassemble equipment for proper cleaning and sanitizing, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment is in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with Team Members: Maintain open communication with other departments, supervisors, and employees to ensure smooth production operations and address any issues that may arise.
  • Document and Report: Accurately document all production activities and report any food safety and quality-related issues to management immediately.
Requirements
  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Experience: 1-2 years of experience in a related field, such as dairy production or food processing.
  • Skills: Strong attention to detail, ability to work in a fast-paced environment, and excellent communication skills.
