Key Responsibilities- Utilize the nursing process to deliver ongoing care, prioritizing patient needs and responding to changes in their status.
- Provide triage and consultation to patients, families, and significant others, adhering to protocol and organizational guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare team members, documenting and sharing accurate and timely information regarding patient conditions.
- Prepare and room patients for exams, obtaining vital signs and updating pertinent health information.
- Perform laboratory procedures, assist with procedures and surgeries, and administer medications under physician/provider orders.
- Assess and provide patient education, counseling, and health promotion, integrating preventive aspects of care.
- Perform advanced clinical tasks and skills, such as removal of sutures and staples, catheterization, and laboratory procedures, with demonstrated competency and under clinical supervision.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of staff orientation, competency, and educational activities, serving as an expert clinical and department resource.
- Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which you practice.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association (AHA), obtained within 6 months.
- Associate's Degree in Nursing.
- No experience required.
