Medical Assistant

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Medical Assistant to join our Internal Medicine team at Hackensack Meridian Health. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing clinical care to patients under the supervision of our professional nurses and licensed medical practitioners.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare exam rooms, treatment rooms, supplies, and instruments for patient care.
- Take patient vital signs and record them in the medical chart.
- Understand and operate special equipment, including EKG, PFT, Audiometry, and Titmus Test.
- Perform lab testing, such as UDS, BAT, and Phlebotomy, as indicated by performance evaluation checklists.
- Assist with collections and billing procedures as needed.
- Use computer software to maintain office systems and data entry procedures.
- Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program.
- Certified Medical Assistant or Certified Registered Medical Assistant or National Certified Medical Assistant or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant or Registered Clinical Medical Assistant Specialist.
- AHA Basic Health Care Life Support HCP Certification.
