Johnson, Mirmiran & Thompson Inc. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join their Highways Group in Texas. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management of complex projects and will assist the Office Leader and Section Heads with business development, financial management of projects, and management of staff at the local level.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Assist with the management of complex projects, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource allocation.
- Business Development: Assist with business development, including identifying new business opportunities and developing strategies to pursue them.
- Financial Management: Assist with the financial management of projects, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Staff Management: Assist with the management of staff, including performance evaluations, training, and development.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related field from an accredited program.
- Experience: 10+ years' experience in highway planning and design, with a minimum of 5 years' experience in project management.
- Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Supervisory Experience: Experience supervising a team of engineers and technicians.
- Government Experience: Experience working with federal, state, and local governmental agencies.
The work is performed within a general office environment. The work is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc. within the office environment.
