Job Title: Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary:

Soliant is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Speech-Language Pathologist to join our team. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing exceptional speech and language services to students, helping them overcome communication challenges and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assessment and Diagnosis: Conduct comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in students.
  • Therapy and Intervention: Develop and implement individualized therapy plans to address the specific needs of each student, providing therapy to improve their speech, language, and communication skills.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to support students' educational goals, participate in IEP meetings, and contribute to the development of students' educational plans.
  • Progress Monitoring and Documentation: Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting therapy plans as necessary, and maintain accurate and confidential records of all assessments and therapy sessions.
  • Professional Development: Stay current with best practices and advancements in speech-language pathology, and provide training and resources to teachers and parents to support students' communication development.

Requirements:

  • Education: Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
  • Licensure and Certification: Valid North Carolina license or eligible for licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist, Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), and North Carolina Department of Public Instruction (NCDPI) license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist in the public schools.
  • Experience: Experience working with children in a school setting is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong knowledge of speech and language assessment tools, intervention strategies, and special education laws and regulations, excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills, and ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team and diverse stakeholders.
