We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Nurse Practice Specialist to join our Surgical Oncology team at Emory Healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and passionate nurse leader to make a meaningful impact on patient care and outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical and educational leadership to the Surgical Oncology team, promoting evidence-based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with administrative leaders, educators, nurses, and physicians to develop and implement clinical practice guidelines and policies.
- Contribute to the advancement of nursing practice at the unit, system, local, state, national, and international levels.
- Participate in and lead organizational and hospital-based professional activities to maintain and contribute knowledge of current trends, practices, and developments.
- Direct and manage process improvement projects and initiatives, interpreting results and disseminating findings to inform practice changes.
- Mentor and coach professional development, including collaboration with resident nurses on evidence-based projects and staff seeking DNP degrees.
- Professional Nursing Certification (CCRN, CEN, OCN, etc.)
- Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP)
- Three years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse with at least two years of recent experience in the area of concentration
- BLS and ACLS certifications
