Job Title: Technical Infrastructure Specialist - Hybrid Work Schedule

Job DescriptionWe are seeking a highly skilled Technical Infrastructure Specialist to join our team in Decatur, GA. This is a hybrid work schedule position, requiring 3 days of on-site work and 2 days of remote work. As a Technical Infrastructure Specialist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our company's technical infrastructure.
Your primary responsibilities will include:
- Analyzing complex system behavior, performance, network, and infrastructure issues in collaboration with the application team and vendors.
- Serving as the Tier 2 and 3 support for troubleshooting critical incidents, while vendors provide Tier 1 support.
- Coordinating server migration and refresh activities with the application team and vendors.
- Collaborating on server software installation and configuration changes with IT management and the application team.
- Participating in disaster recovery exercises, backup, and recovery meetings, as needed.
- Partnering with IT security, IT management, the application team, and vendors to remediate vulnerabilities identified in server infrastructure, while vendors handle basic OS patch management.
- Recommending design, deploying, and maintaining network integration between environments in cooperation with vendors.
- Documenting network and server infrastructure.
- Promoting best practices across network and server infrastructure.
- Analyzing firewall requirements and submitting requests for changes by vendor.
- Reviewing servers for error events and coordinating resolution.
- Recommending and implementing automation for manual processes.
- Closely collaborating with the application team, offering education and guidance on integration, operations, and monitoring across the infrastructure.
- Participating in software deployments as needed.
- Maintaining VxRail infrastructure as needed.
- Recommending design, deploying, and maintaining production infrastructure and services hosted on Azure as needed.
To be successful in this role, you must possess the following skills and qualifications:
- A strong background in distributed networks and systems.
- Experience with Windows Group Policy Objects, Firewalls, Network access troubleshooting, network design, server deployment and migration, and VPN configuration.
- Experience managing corporate Active Directory.
- Scripting skills: Bash/Python/PowerShell.
- Virtualization platforms: VMware, et al.
- Azure Backup, Azure Policy, and Security Center.
- Experience with Windows and Linux administration.
- Experience with configuring and securing mission-critical production servers.
- Experience handling critical production incidents.
- Experience with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, etc.).
