Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our Warehouse Operations team at Continental. As a Material Handler, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and products throughout our warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Material Receipt and Storage: Physically receive and transfer materials to designated storage locations, adhering to established process, quality, and safety guidelines.
  2. Equipment Operation and Maintenance: Safely operate Material Handling equipment, including pallet jacks, strappers, and bailers, and perform mandatory shift safety checks and maintenance tasks.
  3. Inventory Management: Assist with inventory maintenance activities, including counting, physical inventories, cycle counts, and spot checks, to ensure accurate inventory levels.
  4. Communication and Teamwork: Communicate effectively with Lead Material Handlers and other team members to address equipment issues, inventory discrepancies, and other concerns.
  5. Housekeeping and Safety: Maintain a clean and safe workspace, adhering to 5S principles and facility guidelines, and participate in auditing and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Education: High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Experience: No prior Supply Chain experience required.
  • Technical Skills: Basic math skills required.
  • Other Skills and Abilities: Multi-tasking, teamwork, ability to work independently, self-motivation, problem-solving, continuous improvement, and clear communication.
