Material Handler

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Material Handler to join our team at Continental. As a Material Handler, you will be responsible for physically receiving and transporting materials into and out of defined locations in accordance with established process, quality, and safety guidelines.
Key Responsibilities- Receive and transfer materials to identified storage locations, ensuring accurate inventory management and adherence to safety protocols.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks/trailers for intercompany and over-the-road transport, maintaining a safe and efficient workflow.
- Operate Material Handling equipment, including pallet jacks, strappers, and bailers, performing mandatory shift safety checks and adhering to established guidelines.
- Communicate equipment issues or concerns to Lead Material Handlers, ensuring prompt resolution and maintaining a safe working environment.
- Participate in inventory maintenance activities, including counting, physical inventories, cycle counts, and spot checks, to ensure accurate inventory levels.
- Remove plant refuse and recyclables, maintaining outside storage areas and adhering to established facility guidelines.
- Contribute to the auditing process, implementing continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency.
- Maintain a clean and safe workspace, incorporating 5S principles to promote a productive and efficient work environment.
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
- No prior Supply Chain experience required.
- Basic math skills required.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work independently and motivate others.
- Ability to speak English fluently.
