The Senior Manufacturing Automation Engineer will direct high-level engineering analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems in accordance with engineering standards and project scope to ensure that designs meet customer requirements, corporate objectives, are safe, and can be manufactured.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Direct high-level engineering analysis and design of new and modified components and subsystems
  • Ensure designs meet customer requirements, corporate objectives, are safe, and can be manufactured
  • Lead minimal direct reports
  • Responsible for completion of a complex project on time
  • Manage overall project schedule and budget
  • Collaborate with other engineering business support disciplines internally and suppliers externally
  • Perform and check complex engineering calculations, investigations, and tasks
  • Participate in the budgeting process and recommend capital improvements
  • Research and propose use of new technologies
  • Maintain effective communication with suppliers, internal and external customers, and outside resources
  • Enforce the proper use of engineering criteria and drawing standards
  • Direct preparation of layouts, drawings, specifications, and bills of material
  • Provide subject matter expertise leadership to a large technical staff
  • Assure designs meet customer requirements, statutory requirements, and corporate objectives
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in operations, engineering, or related field
  • Seven (7) or more years of relevant experience
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to participate or lead a cross-functional team
  • Project management experience
  • Capable of working in a collaborative and team-focused environment
  • Demonstrated understanding of fabrication processes
  • Able to evaluate potential innovative technology areas
  • Proficient with CAD software (AutoCAD) and simulation software
  • Strategic thinker
  • Time management and problem-solving skills
